A new bathroom at a mountain hostel
I first visited the mountain hostel ten years ago. I was a secondary school student and we were on a class trip in the mountains. It was a small, wooden hostel with a big kitchen and a dining room on the ground floor and three big bedrooms on the first floor. There was also an attic: another bedroom where I and some of my friends spent three nights. The hostel had a temporary bathroom, even a shower, but the water was cold and it was very uncomfortable. We did not care, of course. We were happy to be together in the mountains and we did not really need a new bathroom with Jacuzzi. Besides, we woke up early every morning, packed our things, took our maps with us and walked up in the mountains. We came back late in the evenings, took a quick shower and spent the night singing in the dining room downstairs. Well, that was ten years ago. I visited the mountain hostel again last summer and I could hardly believe my eyes. The place had changed so much! First of all, there was a new bathroom with a modern shower. The room downstairs had been redecorates as well. It did not look so pretty anymore and people didn"t come down every evening to sing and talk to each other. What a pity. The place had become a three-star hotel, but it had lost its atmosphere.
