Sports instructor theory test
A lot of people would like to become sport coaches or instructors. In my country it is difficult to become a sports coach of a particular discipline. You have to be experienced in the field and be a physical education teacher. But anyone can become a sports instructor. There are some requirements, I mean. You have to be an adult person, have a secondary school diploma and a clean criminal record. You have to participate in a special course first and then pass your theory test and practical examination. The theory test involves answering fifty quetions connected with your discipline, but also other subjects such as psychology, medicine, first aid and teaching methodology. The exams are supposed to assess the candidates on the basis of the material taught during ten lectures. When you pass your theory test, you are allowed to take your practical examination. This exam usually involves demonstrating your teaching abilities to a grouo of experienced coaches. Once you become an instructor, you can teach groups of beginners in your discipline at sports clubs or fitness centres. However, you are not allowed to work as a teacher at primary and secondary schools unless you complete higher education.
